CALL FOR ARTISTS
Arte Libre VA, in partnership with the City of Winchester, presents a unique opportunity for local and regional BIPOC and emerging artists!
This spring, Arte Libre VA is facilitating another round of
Parking Space Murals along the South side of Piccadilly Street, and we'd love for you to participate!
We are seeking proposal submissions from now until February 22nd.
Details:

Designs must be 4" by 10" (or 8" by 20"), which is the size of the parking spaces

Designs must be limited to a simple 10 color palette (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, pink, brown, black, and white)

Remember the asphalt is a black/grey, and can be used as an element of the design

Selected designs will be family friendly (not explicit)

Artists selected to paint a Parking Space Mural in 2022 are not eligible to apply

A panel of art minded folx from Arte Libre VA, the City of Winchester, and the community will choose the designs that will be painted along the North side of Piccadilly Street in March

Artists whose work is chosen will be awarded a $200 stipend after drawing the design in the space on the community painting day
